scoop the lobster out more broski. looks like you halfed it. you should cut into the very last segment (the tail part) about halfway.
I use a spoon to separate the lobster meat from the tail. use the back of the spoon against the meat, and have the actual “spoon” part of the spoon be facing towards the shell, you can work your way into removing 95 – 100% of the tail (I’ve literally had entire tails fall out of the shell). with the spoon method, you don’t get your fingers stabbed as much.
