12 course tasting menu, each plate prepared entirely in front of you from nothing, only 12 seats around a tiny open kitchen. We went to Prado and BouBou’s for our prior dinners in town (both awesome), but this was much more of an “experience” however you define it. We had a wonderful time, enjoyed every bite. The foie dish they’re most famous for was both me and my wife’s least favorite. Unsurprisingly, the seafood courses were the best, and the lemon dessert was the best sweet dish we had on our week trip in Portugal. Cured mackerel with buttermilk ice cream and caviar in a light celery/green apple jus… 10/10. Also the lobster 2 ways was a total knock out. My wife doesn’t really like reds, so we skipped the pairing and had the som pick out an interesting white that would work throughout the meal. Complimentary port at the end of the meal was a nice treat. ~ €600 for 2 tasting menus, one bottle of wine, and 10% tip. I’ve been to a few one star places, but no higher, but I can highly recommend based on my experiences. ✌🏼
