It’s pure chaos. I really didn’t approach this layout with a solid game plan in place other then co-planting my peppers with trap crops and ‘repellent?’ plants. In the past, I grew 10-15 nursery stock peppers in planters along with some flowers and a couple vegetables like cucumbers. This year I’m trying tomatoes again after repeatedly suffering plant losses to tomato horn worms, but I’m more aware of their early presence now and am actually having more problems with them eating my peppers than my tomato plants. Most of my November brassicas bolted, so I chopped them to the roots and planted peppers next to the root base of where those used to be, but left the root masses in place to provide additional nitrogen. Some of the flowers/trap crops are marigolds, chrysanthemums, pyrethrum daisies, sweet alyssum, and nasturtiums. And yes, I was finally able to mow.
