Recipe: Bobby Flay Fit by Bobby Flay
I’m sorry but I just don’t like cucumbers. So when I saw Bobby’s different variations on tzatziki I had to jump on it. I know I’m a professional chef but you better believe I’ll pick cucumbers out of a dish. And don’t even get me started on cucumber water. It’s so gross.

Gyros are a staple street food here in New York. They are typically made with meat cooked on a vertical stick that’s sliced off and stuffed into pita bread with a variety of toppings, usually including tomatoes, onions, and tadziki sauce. Tadziki sauce and versions of it are served all over the world. But when you think of gyros, you’re probably thinking about the Greek version of yogurt, cucumber, olive oil, garlic, lemon juice, salt, and herbs. I’ve made my tatziki sauce a little bit differently. You see, cucumber is quite possibly my least favorite food, so I used grated radish instead. I love the pink hue that it added and its sharp bite. And don’t just think tidziki only goes with gyros. You can eat it with grilled meats, vegetables, and even as a dip for pita bread. How do you like your tidziki? Sorry, what? What did you say? How exactly do you pronounce it?
Get a Greek friend and learn how to pronounce it. No one wants ethnic food from someone who can’t even pronounce it correctly
