This rice looked so good because I love Chipotle's white rice.

It was pretty good but cost almost as much as a five lb bag of rice I got yesterday.

Cilantro and lime aren't that expensive, right? Does someone make that kind of rice? Does it have to be jasmine? Can someone point me in the right direction?

    Yeah, plenty of cilantro lime rice recipes in the world if you google.

    Pretty much everything can be made better and cheaper at home.

    Looking at the ingredients you just have to cook jasmine rice (or any other rice you want), add some oil (they use sunflower), chop up some cilantro, add some salt, the cilantro and some lime juice. Very easy

    Here’s my personal recipe ☺️:

    * Toast two cups of white rice in a pan with 1 tbsp butter
    * Mix 3 cups water with:
    * 1 tbsp onion powder
    * 1 tbsp garlic powder
    * 1 tbsp better than bouillon (chicken) or 1 bouillon cube/packet
    * 1 bunch fresh cilantro, finely chopped
    * 3 tbsp lime juice

    * Place toasted rice in Instant Pot, cover with liquid mixture
    * Cook in instant pot on auto rice settings
    * More lime juice to taste

    Without an instant pot, just cook according to rice bag instructions in a regular pot, but still toast the rice first and replace the plain water with the above mixture.

  6. Chipotle doesn’t use jasmine rice, don’t get that kind, just get a long grain white rice, follow the directions on the package, mix in cilantro, lime juice, lots of salt.
