Saw these prime ribeyes at my local Walmart and felt like I had to give them a try. The marbling looked so much better than any of the others. They were very good.

did you taste the meat, not the heat?

Man this right after some other guy said it was physically impossible to get a sear on a grill, especially a gas grill. Fascinating.

I’ve been blown away by the quality of Walmart prime steaks. The newyorks are a steal, the ribeyes even better

if that’s Walmart quality now, we’re living in a simulation and I’m fine with it

People knock on Walmart but they actually have great selections

Great char layer, did you use a brick to help press it down?

Walmart steaks taste great when there isn’t someone in your ear saying they’re trash

Hell yeah man! Thanks for sharing. This might be worth mentioning as labeling can be intentionally misleading. That crest with the USDA Prime (or Choice, Select, etc…) is important. Any other verbiage is marketing and not indicative of quality.

I don’t shop at Walmart but that looks tasty

  11. Stop telling people bout the steaks, you’re fucking it up for the rest of us!

My friend is a grilling perfectionist. He used to swear you couldn’t make a great steak on a propane grill. Then he had one of mine. I’ve been perfecting the technique for years. How does Walmart meat compare to Costco? I have both nearby, but generally avoid Walmart like the plague.
