Visited St.Barts as part of a 4 day trip to London with lunch and dinner every day.
We were there on a Saturday for dinner service, with a time slot at 8. The restaurant is part of a really nice and tidy newly built area that surrounded parts of the old St.Barts church which you can see from the restaurant.

Upon entry i was impressed by the beauty of the place, the host stand made to look like an altar was a very nice touch. We were seated in the lounge to start of the meal with some drinks and the first snacks.

The style is quite nordic actually, although there are certain things that you could call British throughout the menu. I thought it was a quite well done merger of the two.

Snacks were great, although great in terms of flavour the foie gras bite felt a bit out of place considering the whole philosophy and the green star. After that you are brought to the main dining room (same room, just around the corner), where the rest of the meal would take place. Going into detail about every dish would be a very long and boring story but overall i felt that the kitchen is really capable of great things. Had a splendid meal, from start to finish. Best dish goes to the squid noodles in salted lemon sauce, and the beautiful main course of Hogget (slighty older Lamb).

That being said, there are some ways that they could seriously improve the experience. That has to do with the service and ambiance. Servers are very nice, knowledgeable but speak so quietly! The sommelier was an exception here. It felt that except for him everyone went for the more formal approach to service, which is a choice but in a nordic type of place in London? Not that fitting. Getting the bill took long and i needed to get up for payment after a while (they came to the table at other tables that had already left before us), and when leaving they al were to busy with closing tasks to notice we needed our coats. Bit clumsy considering the price and consequently the high service charge.

But those are, in my opinion, small things because the hospitality side of the service team was outstanding!

All in all very high level for such a young restaurant, room for improvement for sure but it is on the way to the top. One to watch!
