I’d already plotted this lunch when Patagonia’s mackerel news hit my inbox this morning. Sometimes the planet is a bit of a freaky place.

Anyway, I’ve enjoyed this meal of a bed of greens, my pretty straightforward potato salad, and these Patagonia mackerel filets with mild Spanish paprika plenty of times in the past. Potato salad is just pretty happy with paprika in general, and the peppery punch of the arugula I had in the office fridge was a nice touch.

Guess I’ll be scrounging the shelves for the last of these mackerel tins. Sigh.

    I was disappointed as well when they informed me they were discontinued.
