One of the more interesting sandwich options you can find at a Konbini developed by Umeda Cheese Lab
¥376 or about $2.50 USD
it uses the usual fluffy bread with three layers of filling – soft boiled eggs, then ham, then pasta with a cream sauce.
It wasn’t bad at all, but it isn’t something I would probably get again. Definitely a unique try and something you don’t typically see as a sandwich!

Love the Japanese carbs on carbs foods lol. Pasta in my sandwich? Yakisoba bread? Croquette on soba noodles? All amazing
japan sees carbonara so differently than i do. interesting!
i think i’d have bought one to try out, as well! looks interesting 🙂
edit: grammar, oops!
Craptacular garbage but everyone will think it’s marvelous.

Classic carbonara (missing the carbo)
