Mildly obsessed with the fish wrap from Ali Baba's rn. The fish is so tender and it's sauce is so well balanced and rich. But what is the sauce?!?!? I really want to learn to make it, but don't even know what the dish is called to look it up. Their website just calls it "fish wrap: a piece of seasoned white fish fillet, marinated in lemon, garlic, cilantro and spices". Do you know what the dish is?

Decent chance it’s basa?
Fish probably tilapia. Sauce no clue.
I mean……..the staff might know…….
I asked recently. It’s sole.
Salmon-ela
Most likely talapia.
Super cheap frozen farmed fish.
They’d probably call it “white fish”
If you start with the ingredients above plus a lot of oil, I’m sure you can get close.
Probably something cheap like bass or tilapia
Bad fish
Baba basa lol
Omg all these comments! Yeah yeah it’s basa but “what is the sauce” is a good question. It’s a tasty sauce!
No idea! I avoid Basa so I probably won’t order it but I’m intrigued by the sauce.
I found this dish online but it contains tahini and your dish doesn’t

Maybe try marinating a filet of whatever fish you like in 1 lemon juice, olive oil, Lebanese 7 spice and some chopped cilantro, and see how close that is?
This simple recipe calls for turmeric, sumac and paprika .Could add cilantro.

Or ask the next time you visit?
It looks like there’s turmeric or maybe a little curry powder in the sauce, giving the sauce that yellow colour.
wtf is basa? Are you guys trying to spell bass?
Why wouldn’t you just ask the staff?
Basa trash?
I’d guess tilapia
Looks like basa. White fish. Tilapia, perhaps.
Basa is a really great white fish if you:
a) like your fish very white, mild, flaky, not too fatty or fishy-tasting. Or
b) like all of the above and saving money, because basa is consistently the least expensive white fin fish.
1000% basa
Which fish is the cheapest, then it’s most likely to be that
basa filet
