The 14th Great Portuguese Wine Show, which opened this Friday, will run until Sunday at the Albufeira Multipurpose Space, bringing together more than a hundred producers and transforming the Algarve city into the capital of Portuguese wine this weekend.
It is an organization of the Confraria do Bacchus de Albufeira, with the support of the municipality of Albufeira.
With more than 800 references on offer, visitors will have “the unique opportunity to explore the richness and diversity of Portuguese wine production”, from classic wines from major houses to exclusive productions from small producers, many of which cannot be found in stores.
The exhibition also stands out for “giving visibility to small producers and family farms throughout the country”.
The number of visitors on the first day exceeded expectations and the organization expects a full house over the weekend.
Entry to the exhibition is free, but you must purchase a glass to be able to taste the wine.
The event’s opening hours are between 15:00 pm and 21:00 pm.
