There was about 8 fish in the tin. If you haven’t tried white anchovies yet definitely grab a can. They are bigger than sprats yet skinnier than pilchards. Almost like long small pilchards.
Flesh is firm with a taste very similar to pilchards but with a little difference that is not unpleasant just different. And sometimes you want just a little different taste to spice up your routine.
No scales at all and couldn’t even distinguish any crunch of the spine.

Patagonia does know what to put in the tins with their fish. The oil and roasted garlic pieces are so good. A lot of times I’ll just go straight out the can but I had to use some crackers as a carrier vessel so I could pile on the garlic pieces. Otherwise the fish are so thin that you really can’t take advantage of all the garlic they put in the tin.

Also besides crackers I have used sourdough bread and baguettes to absorb any left over oil and garlic and it’s a nice bonus.

You still have a couple days before the price increase or if you’re lucky you can still grab them local at your local place after the 15th but don’t quote me on that. I’m just lucky enough where my local coop has these for $6.99 on the regular. But guess I’ll also see in a couple days what happens.

Deen on!

These tins have never disappointed! While slightly more than the Wild Planet white anchovies I normally get, they’re well worth it. Try with some pasta and more garlic, maybe a little chili flake.
