2 exceptional entry level white burgundies by their producers.
PCYM Saint Aubin 2021 –
A vibrant expression from Saint Aubin, this wine offers aromas of pear, green apple, and citrus, complemented by white flowers and a touch of hazelnut. On the palate, it’s medium-bodied with good acidity and energy, delivering flavors that are both refreshing and precise. While not the most complex Chardonnay, its purity and balance make it incredibly drinkable. Hard to resist another glass.
Domaine Roulot Bourgogne Blanc 2020-
This Bourgogne Blanc punches above its weight, presenting notes of lemon, apricot, and honey, with a buttery texture and a hint of salinity. The palate is medium to full-bodied, showcasing a chalky minerality and a touch of ashy gunpowder. Harmonious balance between richness and freshness.
While both wines are outstanding, the PYCM Saint Aubin 2021 edges ahead with its vibrant energy and drinkability. Pierre-Yves Colin-Morey brings elegance and finesse to his wines.

I love how even entry level white burg can be monstrous.
How much did you pay for the roulot if you don’t mind me asking?
PYCM Bourgogne would likely be more of a fair comparison, even though It would still win. PYCM is just other worldly.
Nice notes. Following 👍
Maybe they should talk to Mouton about how to get moved up a level….
Why does it appear so green in this photo?
