So as you can see in the video, I have a small amount of leakage along the gasket all around. I do have my Smobot sensor wire going in at the front but even with it out, there is a whiff of smoke that exits along the sides. My cooks are good but since this is my first season with my used egg I’m wondering if I’d notice any difference if I changed out my gasket and when, exactly, is it time to change it out.
When is it time to change the gasket?

Mine burnt off 11 years ago, I don’t miss it.
As long as the fire stops when closing all the valves your gasket is fine imo
When you can’t maintain the lowest temp you want to or it’s burning up a lot of fuel before going out. A sure sign is it only goes out when you run out of fuel.
Which thermometer do you have in your egg?
When It’s Time to Change the Gasket.
It’s time to change the gasket when your personal cooks don’t cook correctly anymore. I have had slight leaking for over five years but can still do an overnight brisket. The gasket really is one of those “if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it” scenarios.
Roll with it, I did and it still does it thing
If you can set/maintain temps, keep running
