imo: 3 onigiri > 1 katsu sando. Never enjoyed the latter very much, except the egg one.

You can get a proper set meal for that price.

I would get a freshly cooked meal at a lovely independent restaurant for that price. You just ate a lot of processed food.

The Boss Coffee goes hard ngl. That and some good karaage is still peak quick lunch IMO.

Lmao this dude comes to Japan then eats at convenience stores instead of actual restaurants 😭😭

Looks like you got a nice range of different foods. Idk why everyone is shaming OP for not getting a lunch set… Or the wrong thing… Who cares.. OP was just showing foods and their prices. This is just a Japanese food sub. Can we just be chill and be happy for the guy??

I was fairly disappointed with my one konbini katsu sando. It was a bit wet and too much butter. I think I went for a fancier sliced one from family mart or lawson.
In contrast, I had a very satisfying one from a bento shop in a train station that was probably closer to 600 yen. Pretty steep for what it was though.

If you try getting the age dori and stuffing it into an egg sando you have a seriously filling lunch. Great after training on the way home to sleep.
I always preferred that over the cold cutlet sandwiches myself (although I am usually a fami chiki given the choice).
You might want to give it a try next time you need an easy lazy lunch.

Looks like a lot of food to be eating while standing outside a 7-Eleven. Some Family Mart and Mini Stop locations have seating areas (as long as customers aren’t using them to drink alcohol).

The lunch at my company is on average ¥400 and it’s definitely one of the best things about working there. Because in the US the equivalent would be ¥2,000 equivalent minimum. The joy of not having to worry about trying to prepare a cheap lunch everyday

1500 kcal in there without even realizing, that’s the bad part of Konbini foods. Delicious though!
