Thoughts on purchasing this? They are asking $250. I know it’s older but it’s more nostalgic as my stepdad grilled on one similar growing up.

The general rule for anything on resale is that it’s worth whatever you’ll pay for it. The seller might not care about your sentimental reasons for wanting it, but if they just wanna unload it you might use your nostalgia as leverage in negotiating. Either way please post your first cook lol because we all know you’re gonna buy it 😉

Shit you can have mine for $240 flat.

Terrible price where did you find it so I can tell him his price is way, way too high and definitely not buy it.

Thank you! Apparently it’s never been used and was stored inside.

I wouldn’t pay that much, but if you like it, go for it

Great condition id try for 220 but 250 is great if you’re going to be actually using it

It looks in perfect condition, look up what it cost new and then I’d do the apreciation/inflation calculations and see if the price is fair?

That’s my holy grail grill. I’d pay it as a point of nostalgia. And it’s never been used? That’s an unbelievable find.

I don’t know what it’s worth being new but I bought that same exact Grill on Marketplace for 20 bucks and spent $30 on Amazon for the parts it needed and I’ve been using it 4 years now

An older model, but she’s got it where it counts, kid.

I bought one new 25 years ago for $275. It’s worth no more than $75-$100 now. Burners are probably rusted out.

I bought the version without the side burner new for $500 in 2003.

That grill is in good shape. Check it out and negotiate on price. Still plenty of parts available and you’ll love it.

I spent $300 fixing mine up, and it was a piece of shit before I got my hands on it!
!! And if you decide not to, I would love to! I travel all over tracking down these old Weber’s, restoring them has been a hobby of mine for a long time. Please DM me if you decide to pass!

I paid $200+ for a similar one, but not as clean, but it has a colored lid The lid on that is unused possibly, but more likely someone that followed an excellent YouTube video that shows how to clean the Creosote off. Also, this is a 2000 or 2001 based on the handle and cross members on the bottom.
This is ready to grill today since the Flavorizer Bars appear new, and the grate is definitely new, or newish. Plus, you can cook pizza in Cast Iron in these too, and you can heat these up to 500F+.

I don’t even like gas grills and I would have bought that. Awesome find!
