If you ever find a place (or try yourself) with black pepper in the batter you should definitely try it

I’m all about that calamari
Active_Scallion_5322
Never heard of it before. So they serve it with marinara sauce and maybe a lemon wedge?

I’d rather have the crab or scallops and leave the rings for cheap bar food.

Damn, I gotta try that. But first I want to check out that baked wheat flour disc topped with tomato sauce and fermented milk that I’ve heard so much about.

Is everyone being sarcastic or have they not heard of calamari? Just curious I’m in Florida so it’s kinda everywhere by default as an appetizer. Also I would’ve thrown more breading on this but glad u liked em! To all the people asking yeah served with marinara but I personally love to squeeze one or two slices of lemon
Bitter-Art7631
Hold on….can they just do that?

I’m all about eating pretty much anything out of the sea, but somebody lied to you about calamari and sold you a plate of deep fried buttholes.

Squid you say? I’ll have to search some out. Unfortunately I don’t have any exotic cuisine places in my area.
BudTenderShmudTender
Are we sure that isn’t bunghole tempura?
dadydaycare
Double check your restaurant. Some places will serve you chitlins (pig intestines/colon) instead of actual calamari. It’s surprisingly hard to tell the difference and the pig butt is obviously much cheaper to make.
