Hello, I'm wondering if anyone has dealt with Traegers customer service. I bought a brand new Pro 34 and about 6 hrs into a 225 smoke it overfilled the pot with pellets and caught on fire.
I requested a refund or replacement and they are giving me the run around, saying that because I started the grill with the lid open instead of closed I caused the grill to not function properly.
It's super frustrating because I had a Pro 34 for like a decade but it wasn't controlling very well so I opted to buy a brand new one so I wouldn't have to deal with rebuilding it.
Any tips on how to fight these guys? Thanks.

Hey! It looks like you posted an image!
If this is a photo of one of your cooks, maybe share the recipe and techniques
used, as it’s almost guaranteed one of the first questions you will be asked!
*What seasoning did you use?
*How long did you cook it, and at what temperature?
*Did you use any special tricks or techniques?
Traeger on!

They changed from US based customer support a while back good luck
Huh. I have a Pro 22 that’s 7 or 8 years old and I always prime the grill with the lid open. Is this something they changed in newer models? Or have I been doing it wilting the last several years?
This is user error. What do you want customer service to do?
How is this user fault? Do you have to open old during start up?
I had a similar problem with my Searwood 600 where the enamel coating was melting around the firebox. They are going to send me out a replacement grill since to repair it would require basically replacing the entire cookbox.
