Fast-casual restaurant chain Noodles & Company plans to close 13-17 company-owned locations this year, along with four franchised locations.
The company updated those projections last week as it shared its first quarter earnings report. Its previous projection had been to close 12-15 company-owned locations.
Noodles & Company serves dishes from Spaghetti & Meatballs to Creamy Cheddar Mac & Cheese to Pad Thai. It operates 460 total restaurants, with 369 company-owned and 91 franchised.
Noodles & Company has not announced which locations will close. There are four Noodles & Company locations in the Portland area, in Hillsboro, Beaverton, Clackamas and Vancouver. There also are restaurants in Eugene and Springfield.
During the first quarter of this year, Noodles & Company opened one new location while closing three company-owned stores and one franchised location, QSR reported.
