In the process of installing a new gasket and notice this cracked portion by the hinge. The crack was always there but now has broken a piece off. I have photos from 2023 (2nd photo) and now. Anybody try to make a similar claim. Can I glue it? Just leave it?

Warranty claim. I had a similar crack/chip and was sent a new dome and base.
