βΆοΈ GARLIC FRIED RICE RECIPE INGREDIENTS: (3 servings approx.)
2 to 3 tablespoon Light olive oil
1+1/2 tablespoon / 18g Garlic OR TO TASTE β finely chopped
1/2 Teaspoon salt OR TO TASTE
1/4 Teaspoon Chili Flakes OR TO TASTE
3 cups Cooked White Basmati Rice (π **SEE BELOW FOR INSTRUCTIONS ON HOW TO COOK BASMATI RICE)
METHOD:
We are using pre-cooked basmati rice for this recipe – **SEE THE INSTRUCTIONS BELOW ON HOW TO COOK BASMATI RICE. Start by gently removing any lumps in the rice (separating the rice grains) with wet hands. Set aside.
Heat a pan or wok and add the oil, chopped garlic and salt and fry on medium heat for about 30 seconds or less. Then REDUCE THE HEAT TO MEDIUM-LOW OR LOW depending on the heat of your stove. Add chili flakes and fry until the garlic is golden brown. CAREFUL NOT TO BURN THE GARLIC. Add the cooked basmati rice and mix well. Then increase the heat and fry on medium to medium-high heat for about 3 minutes or so. Turn off the stove and remove the pan from heat. Then cover the lid of the pan and allow it to rest for 2 to 3 minutes before serving. I have served it with Garlic mushrooms in this video.

π **HOW TO COOK STEAMED BASMATI RICE for the fried rice:
1 cup White basmati rice (soaked/strained)
1+1/4 cup to 1+1/3 cup Water (depending on the quality of the basmati rice)
1 teaspoon Olive oil (optional)
METHOD:
Thoroughly rinse the basmati rice until the water runs clear. Then soak the rice in water for 30 minutes. USE A WIDER PAN TO COOK THE RICE – this will prevent the rice from getting overcooked and mushy. Once the rice is soaked, drain the water and transfer the rice to a wider pan. Add water to the pan. Turn on the stove and bring to a vigorous boil. Once the water starts to boil, reduce the heat to low and cook covered for 10 to 12 minutes or until the rice is cooked. Once cooked turn off the heat and uncover the pan to allow the excess moisture to evaporate. Using a fork, lightly and very gently fluff the rice. Remove from the heat and SET IT ASIDE UNCOVERED to cool down – this will allow any excess moisture to evaporate and will prevent the rice from getting soggy.

No. I don't go there.
I LOVE IT πππππ
Sinangag or garlic fried rice us better if you add the salt after you put the rice. In our household, we usually put the salt before we breakdown the rice.
Great. So now I can't decide on the rice or pasta with the garlic mushrooms. I love that you cooked the rice first….that beautiful dance with the peppers and garlic…I have to make it!
I love that despite the fact that this channel is widely successful, you still post the recipes in the description instead of making your subscribers go to a sponsored website and dig for it under a ton of ads. God bless your unselfish heart!
