Tried out the recipe form the above post.

Honestly? It’s awesome! I did a few tweaks because of what I had on hand.

• 250g KA Bread flour
• 155g yuengling beer
• 1tsp instant yeast
• 6g kosher salt

Mixed everything together in a mixer with a dough hook for 10-15 min. Cut dough in half and balled. Let sit on my counter covered with plastic wrap for approx 7-8 hours. Oven @ 550°. Used a heavy steel cookie sheet that i hijacked from my last chef job & let that heat in the oven.

Last 5ish min I put my broiler on high to crisp the top of the pizza.

Looks great! Id hit the top with a little extra direct flame and call it good

Great under carriage and you can never have too much pep.

I dig some Yuengling. I wish I could get it around here. I’m glad you enjoyed the recipe!

  4. Looks good, but one note:

Make sure the bottom of your dough ball becomes the top of your crust. That way the smooth part is on the bottom and the bumpier side is hidden by the sauce and cheese.

    Happy pizza making!

  5. Nice! I use 1kg pizza flour (00), .5 liter of Helles, 2 Tbs salt, 4 Tbs Olive Oil and two packs of yeast. It makes enough for nine pizzas. Three per Sunday. I freeze the other two dough balls-which are actually easier to work with than the fresh dough ball made the day before.
