Weber's (Lemon Coconut Ring × Chocolate Canasta)
i'm not a big cake person when it comes to sweets, i've always thought it was just 'too much'. i guess that's the point of cakes though, it's more than enough sugar & for everybody who matters. the layers can represent the depth of the love for whoever/whatever you're celebrating, the colors of the icing may signify something deeply. some cakes are real works of art. the precision, patience, and attention to detail that's needed can be surreal to people not used to that level of dedication.
it felt great to be able to get cakes for my Mom for Mother's Day from Weber's because that's where she got my birthday cakes as a young'n, which i'm sure many from the Southwest side like me can relate to. i still taste the love put into them like i remember 20 years ago, and have a deeper, more heartfelt appreciation for cakes now that i've worked in bakeries.
