Tbh, the texture just isn’t for me. The only ones I enjoy are salmon and sometimes tuna. since I like smoked salmon, I was already familiar with that texture

I enjoy sushi in all its various forms, but I agree that the simplicity of fish on rice (and maybe a light glaze of ponzu or soy sauce) is the best way to enjoy it. Especially if the fish is really fresh.

Both have their place imo. I almost never go to a sushi restaurant without getting at least some of each.

Rolls are just too busy and too much. To me seems like a waste of an expensive ingredient fish… cause I can’t enjoy it as is.
