  1. Looks horrible. Don’t worry I’ll take it away, and have a new one out for you soon.

Looks pretty good! I would definitely eat it and compliment the chef I’m sure.

Only little thing I’ve got with it is that I use non serrated knives for texture, but that’s my thing and not a real critique of anything you did.

  3. If you’re absolutely forcing me to nit-pick, I would have taken a minute to sear the sides as well as the top and bottom. Those edges look just slightly pale. Like I said though, that’s a complete nit-pick and not at all a criticism. It’s just the way I was taught to do it.

Other than that, damn near perfect medium for me. You’ve got a very decent sear without much of a grey band, which is the thing a lot of people struggle with. I’d be happy enough to serve this and I’d be more than happy to eat it.

What I’m really interested in is the sides you’ve got there. What way were you serving this?

Looks delicious. I love the thought of you rubbing a dry finger across the top, getting it all oily, then slurping it up. Mmmmmm. I also hope you’re a man.

Looks great, but slightly overcooked for my taste

That steak is looking solid. The sear is on point nice crust with a rich brown Maillard reaction, not burnt or dry. Internally, it’s hitting a clean medium rare, maybe leaning slightly toward medium depending on your room temp before cooking and rest time. Juices are locked in, texture looks tender.

The setup is fire too. Guac, mango slices, Jarritos, and that green plate combo makes it feel tropical, like steak at a Caribbean cookout. Only critique: a little more char or butter baste on the top could’ve added that extra chef’s kiss.

But overall? 8.7/10. Respectfully. That steak did not die in vain.

Looks like a good medium cook. I’d eat it.

Op asked if it’s too rare, other comments saying it’s medium.

    What is it?

Burnt on the outside just how I like it lol

Good sear and looks to be medium. I actually prefer my ribeyes more toward medium over medium-rare. The fat actually renders a bit more. Great job!
