Back in the Michelin Guide after a short break: Château Neercanne. This is mainly thanks to the efforts of chef de cuisine Robert Levels, who was appointed over two years ago. An experienced chef whose cooking style fits perfectly into the historical setting of the unique terraced castle. He faithfully follows the fundamentals of classic French cuisine, but dares to make the occasional foray into other places in order to appeal to the new generation of more. The result is expertly executed and varied, using only the finest products and nicely seasoned.
The menu, compiled by the still young sommelier Dennis Vinck, is quite extensive, with a big focus on the well-known wine regions of France, but also Italy, Spain, Germany. In addition, Château Neercanne has a nice selection of wines from Limburg.
