I recently made a bunch of habanero powder after I had several really nice peppers left over from a recipe that I didn't want to waste. Unfortunately, now I have no idea what to do with it and was hoping to get some ideas from y'all 😅

I was thinking some sort of spice mix, but if anyone has better ideas I'd love to hear them!

Bro mix that in with some panko breading and you can make some good ass chicken sandwiches or even a spicy breaded chicken pasta

I have done this for years, so much my friends started doing it it goes on everything and hits a lot different than hot sauce. My favorite use is on all Mexican food

Mix that, some breadcrumbs and an egg in some 80/20 and make some fucking awesome hot teriyaki burgers with some Kraft Swiss and thin grilled pineapple and some Bachan sauce

Looks more like flakes than powder. Throw it in a coffee grinder to powder it.

After that, pizza, rice, eggs, you name it. Goes great on most things.

  6. Mix it with some salt and make french fries or whatever needs a bit of something.

Alone or as a spice mix (some chipotle and/or smoked salt and/or garlic to taste), stash it in an EDC container that you can put on a key ring or 5th pants pocket. You’ll be glad for it the first time you’re out for a meal and need a fix…

Dip one single finger in tap water.

Once it is coated in water, place your finger into the dried mixture.

After that, proceed to shove that same finger into your rectum.

Use it wisely. Put it in cake, cookies, crackers, salad, coffee. Surprise somebody in your life. Show off your spicy side.

  10. I think it would be great with chicken, I’d use it as a seasoning for a Nashville hot chicken sandwich if possible or some wings!

Habanero salt is one of the finest things on earth.

  15. MetaCardboard

Sprinkle it on food. Nix it in recipes. Same thing you’d use ground any herb or spice for.

Save it for when you’re real congested then eat a pinch. It’ll clear your sinuses right up

Dump it into Debbie’s potato salad at the next work potluck

Sprinkle it in burgers, steaks, potatoes, eggs, pizza, pasta, etc. Add it to chili, to Mexican, Cajun, Thai, Indian, Chinese, etc. Anything you like spicy is better with crushed, dried habanero added.

  22. I make hab powder too (amongst others). I like it best in soups and stews – anything where you want heat without drastically changing the flavor of the dish. I like it especially in butternut squash soup.

Want spicy BBQ sauce? Ketchup? Honey? Just a pinch here or there will do wonders.

Another option – mix it into raw ground beef when you make burger patties.

    throw it in stews

    pasta sauces

    sauce sauces

    dipping sauces
