Classic French flavours in a contemporary twist. That’s Bistro Francis in Valkenburg. The establishment is located in the Pradoe building on Steenstraat, a former convent that served as the home of the Franciscan sisters until 1961. In late 2023, under the creative direction of design studio Reiters-Wings, it was transformed into a splendour of a restaurant where classic elements and contemporary influences go hand in hand.
The stylish entourage matches the restaurant formula flawlessly. In his spacious open kitchen, the young chef Paul Keijdener, son of the well-known chef of the same name (the former Chez Paul), combines the fundamentals of classic French cuisine with modern influences. À la carte and menus. Bistro Francis is open for breakfast, lunch, dinner and drinks. The wine list is mainly French-oriented.
