Does a local restaurant trying to pass off a cockroach as lobster count in this sub?

Have we come to this low of a point in humanity that we don’t thank the restaurant for the free extra protein source?

  2. GrafZeppelin127

They must think their customers are absolute morons.

  3. Looking them up there is also a review of a pea pod filled with worms

Are they really believing they can gaslight people into thinking a dead cockroach actually is a delicacy? 😭

  5. HomerStillSippen

Damn they got some skimpy lobster tails then

Don’t mind that burned cockroach in your food, it’s technically added flavor. Enjoy!

That’s located in….. yep…. Laporte, IN. Definitely a cockroach in the food.

Context: Laporte is legit hotdog water

They can’t enjoy a succulent Chinese lobster tail?

  9. PuzzledYak2556

the ChatGPT generated response post from the restaurant is insane

  10. Maybe a crayfish, but that ain’t no lobster tail

Some years back at a local Asian place my mom found a millipede in her rice and they told her it was nothing to worry about, just a piece of spice. Must be a thing huh?

  12. I can see it both ways, but that’s not necessarily better. What if they had a shellfish allergy?

  13. Conscious_Play9554

So…the customer ate the lobster tail or not?

Lmao antennas, legs, the exact shape of a cockroach… but yeah that’s a lobster tail. 😂

A for effort but we weren’t born yesterday sorry. 😂

Omg their response?? Why are they gaslighting everyone ?? When did a roach become a succulent lobster tail? Girl I’m Beyoncé if thats the case since we just saying anything now !!

I’ve heard lobsters are closely related to cockroaches, so… land lobster.

Red Lobster could do an all you can eat special.

Well, is that an Asian roach fused onto that beef? 🤢🤮

  18. It took me a while to figure out how they could call that a succulent lobster tail… it seems they are probably trying to suggest that is just part of a lobster’s tail fan. Even so, I’m still skeptical. Why isn’t it redder from being cooked?

  19. Cultural-Money-9633

no that belongs in the r/KitchenConfidential subreddit

This sounds like it was written by an AI to boot. ChatGPT, give me a PR friendly response for a restaurant that served a cockroach with our stake and how it could have been misconstrued.

There’s no way a human could have been stupid enough to think of this excuse. I refuse to believe it.

That’s what happens when you order food from a landscaping company

  22. Straight to the health inspector. With a copy of their review reply. That place should be shuttered.

To be fair Fusion is in the name. They just don’t clarify on what the food is *fused with*.

The restaurant posted another picture to “explain” how this was actually a lobster tail… but even that looks different from the roachy pic… smaller and no leggy bits. and also, how convenient you just had two servings of this particular dish that also ended up with “lobster tail” on it…

  25. JadeRabbit__

Sometimes I wish I had the level of self confidence to be brave enough to try and sell a roach as a lobster tail.

  26. Background_Essay_676

Isn’t it the same thing but in the water?

  27. Spiritual-Toe7150

Let’s for the sake of whatever say they’re right and it’s lobster tail. Which it clearly isn’t. It’s a roach. But if it was a piece of lobster tail, that would def be cross contamination right? Like, someone with seafood allergies eats that and dies? Regardless of roach or lobster this is a big problem. Not something a Facebook post should be handling. But guys. It’s a damn roach.

  28. I could maybe believe it was the tail of a shrimp but that’s a fucking roach. They must think people are idiots. I would be smearing them all over the internet for their roach infested food.
