Waited four hours for the menya inoichi ramen (worth it)
taiyaki (easily the best bite)
gion ichiho (through reservation, overrated for sure)
tofu ice cream at the base of the inari shrine (do not underestimate this hike)
Eel at Unagi sora (again, slightly overrated)
Matcha desserts at maccha house (tiramisu was 10/10 but the ice cream was just ok)
Most of my favorite things were undocumented from Nishiki market. Just walk around and get anything seafoody. If you go to the back of the stall where they’re selling 100 JPY sake, you can find delicious fresh oysters for 600. Enjoy!
