I was starving today and didn’t really have much to work with except a couple cans of Chicken of the Sea Mediterranean style ‘dines and some random condiments.

Basically took the fish, dredged in a mix of 50/50 flour and cornmeal, with a few dashes of smoked paprika, garlic powder, and old bay seasoning. Placed on foil and drizzled with the remaining oil and couple wayward olive slices from the can. Into the air fryer at 400° for about 5.5 mins. For the roll I took a brioche bun, put on some mayo and a dash of garlic and Italian herbs, and put into the air fryer for 3 mins at 375° to get it a little toasted. Put all that together, couple tomato slices and lettuce leaves, and a squirt of knock off Big Mac sauce (didn’t have patience to make a remoulade, but this actually worked pretty well).

Anyway, it’s somewhere between mouthwatering with a hint of a crime against nature. Even the wife thought it smelled great, I should have let her taste before telling her what it was (she’s not a fan of canned fishies). Have at it Reddit.

Looks and sounds like a winner. I’ve never air fried a tin of anything, but you’ve given me both an idea and inspiration to try it…if my idea is a success, I’ll share it…

Thank you for sharing this with us…

Looks fantastic! I don’t have an air fryer, but I’ve done something similar with Panko breading and baked in the regular oven. Comes out crispy almost like deep-fried.
