Found both on marketplace pretty close in price. Don’t know much about the different genesis models. The latter (pics 3-5) has the side burner, but other than that, can anyone decipher other pros/cons just from the pics? Thanks for the help.

Front controls all the way. Easier to do indirect cooking.

Front controls is a newer genesis, top rt is a older model. Either way it’s all about condition, check for rust.. i prefer the newer 4 burner front control w sear station. They last forever when covered and taken care of, if it’s rusted out probably not worth it.

  3. The first one with the front controls. It’s newer and has the stainless grates.

Stick to the copper colored one… oops, I said colored… 🤭

I’d actually get the side control model.

    1. Those grates are GrillGrates and are worth about $240 by themselves. I put them on all my grills (flat side up) and they are amazing. Much better than any stainless or cast iron grate I’ve seen for Webers.
    2. If you want to rotisserie the burners run parallel to the rotisserie so you get even heat. Front control Webers have burner that run perpendicular so you have cold spots.
    3. The doors on the front control one look like they’re tied together. This could mean there’s an issue with the cabinet. It could just mean the magnets are missing, or something more.

Admittedly it is harder to do indirect cooking.

Top is $150.00 for used Weber over 5 years.
Warranties on Webber’s are not transferable with one or two repairs you’re close to doubling the price you paid.
Wait until clearance season pickup brand new for $500-$600 last you ten years worry free full warranty easily .
Then sell it for $250.00 to the next sucker.
