I remember my first was a cherry tomato unintentionally sown by throwing a bad one in the dirt.
I cared for it and had the sweetest munches as a reward.
Now, about 20 years later, I keep resowing those same seeds every year (I mean, from last year’s generation). It’s MY tomato now

If you are interested in expanding: Kale and Swiss chard are generally even easier to grow if you are in the right zone, and are also delicious fresh – a lot of people who come to my place have hated the taste of these greens until they’ve had them fresh. give them a shot, you can usually find seedlings at your local gardening store.
