Bought this hot sauce yesterday a whim. I usually enjoy the kens brand wing sauce. Saw this and thought it might be more like a peppery hot sauce.

Tried this today with some fries and it’s just tastes awful. It’s just a weird sweet-ish flavor with zero heat or anything.

Does anybody have a recommendation for a peppery hot sauce that actually taste good?

Thanks for the heads up. Their BBQ sauce is average and I would get KC Masterpiece over them. Budget.

This sauce is horrible! Honestly, I just go with franks red hot. It’s overrated, but it’s consistent so hey🤷🏽‍♂️

  3. Look up blonde beards sauces, I think the one you’re looking for is called black magic that’s a cajun black pepper buffalo type sauce.

This brand is only useful for the ribs bbq. Peppery hot sauce for the wings? Buffalo Wild Wings sauces are pretty good. Otherwise, I would suggest mixing a mediocre common buffalo sauce with some awesome hot pepper sauce (in moderation!).

    1st ingredient: water

    2nd ingredient: vegetable oil

Yeah, that’s a hard pass. I almost bought it this week, but put the bottle back on the shelf after looking at the ingredients

Sweet Baby Rays doesn’t respect simplicity or ingredients. They are a corporate greed monster that adds corn syrup and other artificial ingredients to reach their goal (which seems to be to appeal to tasteless rednecks.)

Please avoid at all costs. Instead try Melinda’s wing sauces imo. They are simple and flavorFUL. Or just basic Franks. It’s the og

Sweet Baby Ray’s is trash all around tbh

Yeah, I got a bottle of this. Was definitely a miss with this one.

  10. Doctor up some sauce I guess.

Lately I do Louisiana Brand hot sauce with a good dash of Woodstock brand scorpion pepper sauce.

I love Sweet Baby Rays and that one was an absolute let down, not good at all

  12. So I do a homemade wing sauce.

1/2 cup Frank’s Red Hot, 1/4 cup your favorite BBQ Sauce, 1/4 stick of butter, 1 tbsp worcestershire sauce, 1 tbsp lemon juice, 2 tbsp of your favorite bbq rub, coarse black pepper to taste (I add a lot becaues I like peppery wings).

Heat all that up on the stove top or in the microwave and mix well.

Then I use something like Dave’s Insanity or some other high heat concentrated sauce to bring the heat up to where I like it. I’m not as crazy as some of the hot heads here, so for me its usually only a couple good shakes but that’s entirely up to you and your spice tolerance.

They’ve got one sauce that I do enjoy, and that is their Sweet’n Spicy barbecue sauce. It’s not hot-hot, but it’s better than most commercial barbecue sauces.

It’s a bbq sauce company, not a hot sauce company. It’s just wing sauce.

Sweet Baby Rays, for me, is easily the best CHEAP bbq in a store. But this is their weakest offering for sure.

Im so tired of seeing “Nashville hot” everywhere. Dumbest marketing trend.
