    Tiny anchovies, dried and seasoned.

Eat them whole โ€” ridiculously nutritious to eat small fishies whole

๋ฉธ์น˜ (pronounced myulchi, but my grandma used to call it ๋งค๋Ÿฌ์น˜ merrochi and Iโ€™m going to guess thatโ€™s a ์‹œ๊ณจ thing). If itโ€™s served to you like that you just eat it. Itโ€™s salty so I recommend eating it with rice

One of my favorite Korean side dishes of all time!

    ~~๋งค๋Ÿฌ์น˜~~
Correction: ๋ฉธ์น˜ is the dictionary spelling, but I always pronounce it as above.

That’s gold. Whoever served you that is being very generous. That is premium level banchan.

As a Yankee I mix them with Ojingeojeot and it’s so good! Great now I’m hungry.

  7. Good source of calcium. Since Koreans historically didn’t eat lots of dairy~

I like the kind that is salty and sweet and crunchy.

Deliciousness lol (stir fried anchovies) I just top it on some rice and eat it as is. Sometimes wrap it with seaweed sheets. Maybe fry and egg for some extra protein with it.

  10. Myul chi. Anchovies. The big ones dried up dipped in gochujang with rice and water. Thats the go to.

That is a reminder I need to pick up another Tong Tong Bay 1lb box from H-mart. I keep these delicious fishes in the house like a condiment.

  12. My mom makes it with honey, or stir fry with honey.. really good

It’s very salty. Eat a little at a time with rice.
