hi so 1 month ago i bought the lamb liver you see in the plate, my friend didn't stop telling me that the color was bad, it wasnt supposed to be orange/ light brown.
the smell tasted like vinegar, and the taste raw was very bad, very metallic and sour.
today i bought the second liver that you see, and the color is super different ans didnt have any smell and it taste good, do you think the other was bad ? thanks

I am not a liver expert, but I am a carnivore, and I hear this liver topic often. From what I hear color and flavor can reflect the health of the animal. But this can be confused by our bodies need for it. If we are in need of the vitamins and minerals from the liver, it will taste better(less tart) and if we don’t need it, we will be repulsed by it.

Where are you from? Liver is sometimes washed in vinegar in Eastern Europe. Second pic definitely looks more fresh.
