Does anyone know of any good YouTubers or Tiktokers that do guides and/or recipes involving a propane grill?
I swear everytime I start watching some recipe or guide video that looks delicious on the thumbnail, it always ends up involving a smoker or a pellet stove or charcoal, literally anything other than propane.

Which is fine I guess, I can figure it out and convert the cooking times, etc. It just seems like propane grills have been forgotten about.

Cooking with Darryl is good, does a lot more than just gas grill but uses one or a flattop a lot. You’ve probably seen him he always says “Are you kidding me?” When he finishes

I mean, a heat source is a heat source. Anything you cook inside you can cook over an open flame with some adjustments, most of which is less sugar to avoid burning. One of my fave things to do is tandoori style skewers for inclusion in curries (so much so I’m thinking about just buying a tandoor, lol)

You can emulate most smoker/charcoal recipes with a smoke tube or just a foil packet filled with chips. It’s not as good but it’ll give you an approximation.

I find propane grills are more suitable for quickly grilling large amounts of small foods (burgers, sausage, chicken etc) but they also work well for rotisserie and hot and fast cooks.

Its really not about the source. Its about time and temp really. My guess is you have cooked a few things that didn’t come out the way want and now you want some step by step recipes. Just keep practicing time and temp time and temp. You’ll figure it. The wild card is things like flare ups that can ruin some meat in a hurry, but keep your grill clean and manage your grease

Weber’s website has a bunch of good recipes for their grills.

  5. Honestly applying 2 zone cooking which you can get from videos of anyone using a charcoal grill like a kettle will work.

I think Hank would be a much happier guy if he knew his face was on a propane tank…. Or any propane accessories for that matter.

    Huh?

Heat is heat. A propane grill and a charcoal grill at the same temperatures are going to cook the same time. No conversion necessary. Grilling is grilling, regardless of the heat source.

Dang it, we just want to taste the meat not the heat.
