what medium are you growing in? and can you see a lot of roots around the edges and bottom of the pot? Ideally, you probably should change to a pot that isn’t clear or wrap some black duct tape around it until you do decide to up pot your plant. 🌱

it’s early, but I would try to throw that in something small like the size of a solo cup for a little bit.

Yes, once they have true leaves they can be up potted

I’d wait a liiiiittle longer. There’s enough soil and room in there for a quite a bit of root mass. I’d let them grow to about 3 inches or so. I find they just succeed a little better that way. This year, I sprouted my peppers in jiffy pods, and let them grow between 2-4 inches (build up that centre stalk strength!) before upgrading their accommodations (4″ wide pots) and boosting them with a little plant food. They’re all kicking butt now – two weeks, and they’re as much as 1ft tall now, and still not close to root-bound.

The medium you used has some impact, but it’s more related to issues like watering frequency, how long the medium takes to dry up, how compact it is (for root travel).

Also, second tip: after about 4 nodes, top the plant on the 5th node. It’ll grow nice side branches and should increase the yields.
