New to the game. Been doing a lot of research and narrowed it down to my final 4 but i can't decide which one to get. Pitboss seems like a no brainer but I'm not sure on the quality. I feel like I'm missing something because its $250 cheaper than the traeger but (at least on paper) it has better features? Please help. Want to buy it for memorial day or Father's day.

    Just got a RecTeq myself after having a Z Grill for a long time, but understand if you order today, you won’t get it until after Memorial Day unless you can find one locally, but even then you’ll miss out on the sale. I recently picked up an 1100 Flagship a few days ago and it won’t arrive until late next week.

    Of these the rectec. You might be able to get it at ace hardware. If you don’t mine spending little more I’d recommend a Weber searwood. Love mine.

    u/attti828900 You are correct, the Pit Boss Odessa is a no brainer. I have the Platinum 1250. Exactly the same as the Odessa except for the Onyx Edition’s black color. The grill is a feature filled beast. Least of which is the removable fire pot, to empty out the ashes. I can’t understand why they still sell pellet grills, that you have to vacuum out the ashes. The design of the Odessa is taller not wider. You have 3 levels to cook on. I actually cook on the middle and top racks, with a large disposable aluminum pan sitting on the bottom grate with a little bit of water in it. Keeps the grill clean by catching all the drippings and it mellows out the hot spot over the fire pot. There’s many other cool features too. Just go to your local Walmart and pick one up. Get the cover too. Here’s my Platinum 1250.
