    When you use a gadget to control the temp do you notice it burns through the charcoal a lot faster than when you control it with the standard vent? I’m curious because I use the egg genius and it does

  3. I dont use anymore charcoal when using a fan, I have a fireboard drive with a bbq guru fan

  5. I agree completely. Their products just *work*.

    I also love that the same app for the Billows / Signals products also works with their RFX wireless system. (I got that for rotisserie chicken, and I’m trying to think of a good way to use it for my coffee roasting too. The latter NOT on the BGE.)

    Yes. For anyone seeing temp swing is like a conventional oven with billows – get yourself the [snap in damper](https://www.thermoworks.com/tx-1609x-bd/?srsltid=AfmBOorIXDST94OjLH01PFt5Ik8C_DqgjEnhlS-Oa308AcjbYtsJpztS). It lets you dial down the airflow so biklows has to blow longer to move smaller amounts of air, making it much more accurate to maintain a steady temp in efficient grills like ceramics.

    In a pinch you could also just cover part of the intake with tape, but where’s the fun in that.
