Right near Noho, just off the Astor Place station, is Cello's PIzzeria. Formerly Funzi's, I've been meaning to try it for a while now after seeing some recommendations on this sub. The wait time is about half of L'Industrie's, and the prices are about 10 to 30% cheaper to boot. There is also more seating.
I was pleasantly surprised by the burrata, and the taste of the shredded cheese and olive oil they added. It was quite a good pizza, though the crust was slightly too charred for my liking. In comparison to L'Industrie, I would say that this crust is much less floppy, slightly crispier, and less chewy. I still slightly prefer L'Industrie's, but this is more convenient and a very competitive option.
The pepperoni was not as good unfortunately. There was not enough pepperoni, and the taste and texture of it felt normal.
I have seen reviews saying that the consistency of this place may not be the best, so I will definitely go again to have the burrata and see if it's still as good!
I'll hit up Joe and Pat's to close out the pizza trips in the area. Unfortunately Scarr's has fallen off, just go here instead or Rubirosa/Joe and Pat's.
