if you take away the whole “butterscotch” thing, its caramel, which is ‘burnt’ sugar, which is the [maillard reaction](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Maillard_reaction) which is what makes shit taste good. Plus sweet things go well with pork like apple or glazes.
This doesnt seem like such a stretch, Id be interested to try them but it seems more r/stupidmarketing more than anything.
