It's nearly the end of lemon season, but I had one perfect Meyer lemon left on my tree in the garden.

Pulled a light roast shot from some B&W Coffee beans on my Flair 58, then squeezed in a few drops of lemon juice as I drank it. Meyer lemons are mild and sweet, only about as acidic as espresso itself, so the whole thing tasted sunny and bright. ☀️

Tasted so good that I made two in a row.

Whats the secret to actually make it taste good? I did it one with a coffee i like and it just tasted sour, basically exactly like a sour shot with wrong recepie. I tasted the shot in advance and it was just a fine medium roast. After adding a few drops it just tasted off 🙁

It doesn’t make it too acidic? Did you add anything else to it?

I like to pour a shot into a glass of fresh-squeezed OJ. It looks nasty but is lovely.

  4. I don’t have those lemons, and feel like regular lemons don’t work well, but a nice slice of lemon rind is always awesome. Whenever I have fresh lemons in the house i’ll add it.

My favorite coffee shop does this but as a tonic, I’ll have to give this version a try too.
