Lifetime lover of steak, longtime lurker, and admirer of posts on this sub. Please rate my steak!

My method:
1) Dry brined my ribeyes for about 7-8ish hours with the last couple of hours being outside of the fridge
2) In a ripping hot cast iron I used avocado oil, first searing the fat cap, then 2 minutes on each side (one minute increments)
3) Removed steaks, killed the heat, threw in my butter, garlic, rosemary until the butter was melted
4) Add steak back in, turned the heat up to a medium-low and basted for a couple minutes on each side
5) 10 minute resting period

I know it’s probably not optimal to do two at a time in a cast iron but I have a huge 15” lodge so I said hell with it. I would’ve liked the fat a little more rendered but it was still a very delicious steak. Pretty happy that I was able to do this in my apartment on a flat electric stovetop 😅

It’s overcooked imo, but other than that, very nice

Thin grey line on the bottom. Didn’t cook evenly.

Looks good. I’d have taken it off 5 min earlier, but that’s just my preference.
