First thing of ribs I have ever cooked on charcoal and decided to smoke them with the Weber Kettle using the snake method. I used a 2×1 row of coals and some apple wood chunks. Seasoned with Kinder Black Cherry Chipotle seasoning and sauced with some Kansis City BBQ sauce. Smoked for 3 hours and then wrapped with honey and butter for an hour and then 1 more hour after unwrapping before being sauced.

i have not tried it. i have always used the slow n sear. i am thinking of cooking a pork butt and using the snake method

  2. I love the snake method, it’s pretty bullet proof for low and slow cooking and doesn’t require any additional gear. America’s Test Kitchen did a brisket using the snake and that got me to try it. [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8PE3-p0wNiU](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8PE3-p0wNiU)
