A new Saturday feasting menu is in – this time with an alternative. Piazza Italiana is offering a new spring get-together, perfect for dining with friends and family.
Available every Saturday from noon, Piazza Italiana’s menu invites guests to gather around the table for a celebratory long lunch inspired by Italian family feasts, where second helpings are encouraged and time is measured in glasses of wine, not ticking clocks.
We got to try the menu out for ourselves and to dine like an Italian.
Set in the opulent location of a former British Linen Bank with highly decorated ceilings, beautiful artwork and stunning decor is Piazza Italian’s backdrop.
For starters, we opted for braised beef arancino in a parmesan cream and roasted bone marrow with ciabatta and fennel salad.
Both starters were rich in flavour and if you’re a fan of cheese these dishes didn’t disappoint. The beef arancino was a highlight out of the two thanks to its melt-in-the-mouth beef with a hint of tomato.
The parmesan cream was a delicious sauce which we couldn’t help but keep coming back to.
The vibrancy of the fennel salad added a fresh touch to the heavy bone marrow dish with the crunch of the ciabatta adding some texture to the starter.
Meanwhile, the mains were a generous portion. We went for the slow-roasted porchetta and the roasted beef with herbs. Both these dishes were served with golden parmesan Yorkshire puddings, roast potatoes, vegetables and gravy.
The sides were a pure delight, with taleggio-laced cheesy cauliflower, maple-glazed heritage carrots, and pancetta stuffing that’s worth sharing.
Finally, to round off the meal we shared profiteroles with peanut butter cream which was full of indulgence. The peanut butter cream was drops of heaven which cut through the chocolatey richness of the profiteroles.

Overall, we had a great time with attentive service and great attention to detail with the food. We had the bottomless drinks menu, which included 90 minutes of either white or red wines, prosecco, aperol spritz or Hugo spritz and beer.
Pricing for the feasting menu costs £35 per person and includes a starter, main and two sides. Meanwhile, for the dessert, it is an extra £4.
For the bottomless drinks it costs another £35 per person for 90 minutes, which is on top of the menu that you decide to go for.
