PETA is in town to protest animal cruelty by parking a truck with pictures of pigs in cages and speakers that play sounds of pigs squealing outside one of our BBQ joints. Someone pulled up in front with a big 5th wheel and a sign for them, so they couldn’t park in front of the restaurant.

For every pulled pork sandwich they don’t eat, I’m eating three.
Reminds me of the chef who decided to butcher his meat in the front window when some peta people showed up outside to protest. https://youtu.be/VP9DuT07_W4?si=ltc9FltbjL-bhx3H
Here’s the PETA article that started this whole thing. Fun fact, the BBQ joint, which usually sells out every day, is projected to break their previous sales record by at least double today. Someone started a “Suck it, PETA” party on Facebook, and when I drove by there was like 100 people in line and another 200 or so hanging out listening to the DJ and eating food and drinking beer.

I wonder how long it will take for the PETAphiles to descend on this post. They’re usually pretty quick. They must have a playbook because they post the same basic comments:
– data on PETA’s high kill animal shelter is a hit piece by the meat industry
– “I’m not a PETA supporter but… they do no wrong.”
– PETA’s animal shelter with a 90%+ euthanization rate only kills almost every single animal it takes in because it has to take in all animals, including sick ones.
I LOVE AMERICA
They’re certainly not getting anyone on their side when they target small, family owner restaurants. They tried this in Fresno, and the community took all the street parking near the cafe they were targeting.
People Eating Tasty Animals
I read this in the voice of Lois Griffin, but then I realized.
Ironically this is helping PETA’s publicity efforts.
A big 5th wheel?
These the same clowns that made a noise about Mario in his tanooki costume?
I’m not sure what they’re trying to achieve here. If you want to protest against animal cruelty and I’m fine with that by the way, boycott whoever treats animals badly.
There’s no need to make a show out of it on the street, because guess what: animals aren’t raised in the streets.
The traffic is busy enough these days.
“You don’t make friends with salad. You don’t make friends with salad”
I wish PETA would spend more time protesting the people who mistreat these animals while they’re kept as livestock instead of the people who cook and eat them after they’re already dead so they can experience just a mere moment of pleasure while intaking necessary sustinence for a brief spot of joy in this bleak bitch ass world.
I usually can’t stand the “I EAT MEAT LOOK AT ME” stuff but screw PETA. They are just a domestic terrorism operation.
I just don’t understand how vegans think this will work. It hasn’t for the past however many years and it won’t for the future however many years.
We’ve eaten meat since the dawn of man, we’re not just gonna stop.
Streisand Effect.
Great work PETA. Great work.
