There’s nothing we love more at Dished than a new restaurant opening. We’re in luck, as a new concept from the team behind some of the city’s most popular Italian spots has just opened its doors.

Nero, a brand-new eatery, has opened at 12068 104th Ave., just inside the historic Molson Brewery Building. The new establishment is touted as the restaurant cousin of popular Edmonton spots Bianco and Rosso Pizzeria, both of which offer classic Italian fare, such as pizza, pasta, and antipasti.

Sharing its name with a Roman empower and the tagline “Rome wasn’t built in a day,” Nero is all about Italian flair with a large lunch and dinner menu with small plates, pasta, pizza, salads, and meat-based dishes.

With small plate offerings such as crostini, aracini, olives and calamari, there’s something for everyone. Of course, no Italian spot would be complete without pasta and Nero offers 10 different pasta dishes, with half portions available at lunch time.

Rosso, owned by Dave Manna, has been a staple in the Edmonton community since 2013, while Bianco opened its doors in 2019. We can’t wait to see what this latest venture has in store.
