Well it’s no brisket, but 3 pork loins for $0.09 each is not something I’ll complain about 🙌 time to experiment!

Someone screwed up big time at your local Costco.

Someone posted yesterday a picture of a braided pork loin. Looked interested and I want to try one.

I would have bought more. For Mother’s Day gifts, birthday presents, get-well-soon loins, valentines ….

Did they catch the mistake at the register? I feel like anybody would catch the weight is wrong. Gotta use self checkout for these

Local grocery store had tri-tips for .34c one day. I jumped all over that f-up. Pad cash at the self checkout lol

    Depends on the Cashier.

Anyone who gives a fuck will notice that and adjust using the scale. They’re a rare breed but even so best to use the self checkout.

  6. pork loin is one of the most underrated meats imo, cheap, relatively healthy and super delicious when cooked properly. nice find!

Wow, best I’ve done at Costco is I got some prime steaks once that were priced at the choice price.

Someone screwed up big time lol 😂nice find

  9. I just did one last weekend. I got some habaneros on sale and decided to smoke them, and had other stuff to cook too. I put my spicy butt rub on the loin, let it sit 24 hours in the fridge, and started it with the habaneros, which were in a Lodge grill basket, at 250. That’s high for the peppers and low for the pork. After about 90 minutes I pulled the peppers and ran the temp to 375 until internal temp was 160. Pulled, wrapped and rested. It has a delightful tiny bite from the peppers offgassing. Next time I will pull it at 140, it’s not quite as juicy as I wanted, but still fine.

I can recommend this for one of your cooks, good luck and may your vacuum sealer get a workout!

Schnitzels, Al pastor, stuffed pork chops, slice into a long pork sheet and fill it with cheese, breadcrumbs, peppers and onions, wrapped loin with bacon, so many possibilities. Congrats on the haul!

Yes but the total weight is only .12 pounds so that is barely a bite!

  12. Love smoked pork loin, try to stay just above 145 for internal, and smoke at like 225ish so it has more time to get that smoke flavor, and wrap with butter to rest.

Lord, I have seen what you have done for others and I pray you do the same for me.

Nevermind the price. Just be careful you don’t dry them out when smoking.
I understand pork loin is pretty lean.

I took one and fileted it out flat. Slightly cooked some onions and mushrooms. Mixed them with cream cheese and some jalepenos. Smeared the inside of the pork loin with the concoction. A layer of uncooked spinach leaves. Mozzarella cheese. Then rolled it back up. Bacon weave. Tied everything down and smoked it. Ghad damn… it was a wonderful experiment.

  16. Amazing, i’d have so much canadian bacon if I saw those.

I don’t care what the cut of meat is, $.09 for any cut of any kind of meat is incredible. Congratulations on the find and have fun
