MEMPHIS, Tenn. – If you’re craving pasta, cannoli and a little friendly competition, the Memphis Italian Festival might be exactly what you’re looking for this weekend.

Held at Marquette Park in Memphis, the festival is full of food and fun.

It’s a celebration of family, faith and heritage. And on Friday, Marquette Park is the place to be. The Memphis Italian Festival bringing the sights, sounds and, of course, the flavors of Italy to East Memphis.

The gates open at 11 a.m. Friday with food booths serving up everything from sausage and peppers to homemade meatballs and Italian ice. Local chefs and vendors line the park, and there’s no shortage of pasta to please the crowd.

It’s more than just great food. There’s live music on the main stage throughout the day and competition in and out of the kitchen with tournaments in bocce, cornhole and volleyball keeping the competition fierce and fun.

For families, Luigi Land offers games and entertainment for the kids while adults can check out the craft vendors and grab a drink at Luigi’s Hideaway.

Tickets are $15 at the gate Friday and kids 10 and under get in for free. Tickets are $20 on Saturday. Gates are open until 11 p.m. Friday and reopen from 11 a.m.-11 p.m. Saturday.
